Looking for some treadmills on sale?  If you’re looking for a cheaper treadmill, you’re first going to have to figure out what exactly you’re looking for.  Do you want an expensive model that is now on sale or do you just want to go as low as you can as far as price and features are concerned.

You see, there are a wide variety of different treadmills available and you really should consider the various types before you go out searching for treadmills on sale.  Here are a few of the considerations you’re going to have to keep in mind:

1.  Manual or Electric?

You can get two types of treadmills, those that are powered manually by magnets, or those that are electric.  The manual treadmills take a little momentum to start up and get going so that you can begin running on them, so in that sense they’re a little old-school.  Sure they still work fine, but one of the disadvantages of these types of treadmills is that you can’t change the incline of the treadmill on the fly.  You would need to get off, and adjust the incline, then hop back on and seeing as how the belt’s speed is controlled by your momentum on the treadmill, that isn’t exactly feasible.

So when looking for treadmills on sale, do keep this in mind, find out if the treadmill is manual or electric, then decide on whether or not you can live with it one way or the other.

2.  Features

The other consideration when looking for treadmills on sale is the amount of features that come with the treadmill.  If you get one really cheap, chances are it’s not going to have all the bells and whistles such as a heart rate monitor, lots of different programs, an LCD display etc.  Ask yourself what you can and cannot do without and with that last of must have features, start looking through the treadmills on sale and crossing out those that don’t fit your criteria.

Now as far as where to go to get these treadmills on sale, you can search through some discount catalogs to find some good discounts.  These stores don’t have the same costs as major retail chains and they can offer treadmills at a lower price.  Even if you prefer to buy a treadmill from a retail store, you should still look through the catalog to find out the market price for a variety of treadmills so you know what they all should cost around.

One other great place to get treadmills on sale is the Internet.  There are many great discounts to be found on online exercise stores.  A lot of the sites have a great selection of products to choose from and I’ve seen some discounts as high as ½ off on older models of a certain machine.

So when looking for treadmills on sale, be sure to keep the above points in mind and you should be able to find yourself a good deal, one that is both cheap and satisfies all the qualities you’re looking for in a treadmill.
